Scott Kelley has been a national consulting expert for nearly 30 years. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Kelley & Swain and was a Principal at Edgewood Partners Insurance center after Kelley & Swain was purchased by that firm.
He has helped clients like Campbell Soup, Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies, Foster Farms Chicken, S&W Fine Foods, Color Spot Nurseries, Monrovia Growers and Aerojet/Gencorp refine their benefits programs.
As a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and holder of the National Association of Health Underwriters Certification in Consumer Driven Health, Scott has developed a reputation for bringing innovative solutions to clients in areas that are often overlooked by other consultants. His expertise in the large group market has allowed him to save his clients millions of dollars in benefit costs while often being able to simultaneously improve benefit levels for employees.
He was responsible for implementing the first managed care plan in the history of Campbell Soup which saved the plan $1.9 million dollars and prevented the plant from closing for another 20 years. Scott’s plan design was adopted by Campbell nationally soon after implementation.
Scott is in constant pursuit of new ideas and concepts that impact employee benefits, such as Value Based Health Plans. His unique strategy helps his clients develop cutting edge benefit programs which often outperform the national trend of double digit healthcare cost increases.
Scott founded Verus Insurance Services (Now SolV Independent Insurance Associates) in 2016 with a vision to change the way the industry treats clients, employees and vendors.
Scott lives in Folsom, California and enjoys time with his family.
Brittney Bello is the President of SolV Insurance Services.
Brittney is responsible for the overall operations and account management staff. Her focus is on growing the account management team and providing tools and resources which allow them to provide exceptional service and outstanding deliverables. Her passion for efficiency and technology lends itself well to the development of forward thinking resources for her team and SolV clients.
Prior to joining the SolV team Brittney was an Account Executive with Edgewood Partners Insurance center where she thrived as an exceptional strategic service manager. While with Edgewood, Brittney received accolades as an outstanding team member, employee of the quarter and was promoted as one of the youngest Account Executive in firm history. She also participated in the development of many of the firms best practices committees as well as the development of many client facing compliance tools.
Brittney’s other experience included being the Benefits Director for a California-based Professional Employee Organization (PEO) which was tribally owned, subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements and had over 5,000 employees nationally. Her unique experience in this complex environment helps her find solutions that fit SolV’ clients’ needs. She holds a National Health Underwriters Association certificate in PPACA and is a Certified HIPAA Professional. In 2019, she became a Certified Self Funding Specialist through the Health Care Administrators Association.
In 2019, Brittney became a Health Rosetta Associate Advisor which means she is committed to an industry-leading standard of transparency and fiduciary responsibility to clients and their employees.
At SolV Insurance Services, Brittney is not only leading the operational development of the company, but she also provides consultative advice and account management for clients. Her primary account management focus is on compliance, strategy and efficient utilization of resources and technology.
Brittney lives with her husband, Frank and her son Francis in California.
With over 25 years of experience in insurance, Bob is proficient in the many facets of Employee Benefits. He has worked in different capacities, including on behalf of the carrier and in the Human Resources arena as a consultant and broker, where he has spent the latter end of his career. Best suited in serving clients with their Employee Benefits needs, Bob is able to provide insurance solutions including, but not limited to, cost-saving strategies, ACA and COBRA compliance, online HR resource tools and more. He delivers high-level, boutique-style service to all that he has the privilege of serving.
After starting his own brokerage, Bob merged with a national firm. He attributes much of his success to a strong team, a great partnership with the carrier community, and the continued loyalty of his valued clients. Early in 2017, Bob joined the SolV team to enhance the services and deliverables available to his clients.
Bob’s heart and steadfast commitment to serve has allowed him the opportunity to develop customized benefit solutions for his clients. He has strategically formed his service team to provide daily access to his employers and their employees, which is critical. Bob and his team are a true extension of their HR affiliates.
Bob enjoys spending time in McCall, Idaho with his wife, Catherine. His family of five enjoys health and fitness activities in the great outdoors.
Megan is an Employee Benefits Advisor with SolV who specializes in innovative self-funded health plans and direct contracting. Her passion lies in assisting companies in understanding and maximizing the value of their health plans, as well as eliminating the greed and waste in the American healthcare system.
At SolV, Megan provides strategic advice to her clients on how to structure employee benefit plans so that they serve the best interests of the employers that are providing benefits as well as the interests of their employees and their families. She excels at designing plans which save 20-40% while simultaneously enhancing the benefits. Perhaps even more than health plan advising, Megan is uncompromising on providing the highest level of service and attentiveness to her clients – the way it should be in the industry.
Megan joined SolV with over 15 years of experience consulting and advising on employer group benefit plans. Prior to starting her own company, Adept Benefits in 2015, she worked as an Employee Benefits Consultant at MCM (now Assured Partners) and Brown & Brown Insurance. During her tenure at B&B, she was consistently ranked in the top 10% of benefits consultants across the nation.
Megan was named a Top 20 Women Benefits Advisors in 2019 by EBA Magazine and her success with clients has been featured in many industry outlets over the years. Megan also currently serves as Board President of the Health Commons Project, a non-profit whose mission is to close health equity gaps in underinvested Washington communities by coordinating community resources.
Megan lives in the Greater Seattle area, where she enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family in the picturesque Pacific Northwest.
Dave is an Employee Benefits Consultant with SolV Insurance Services, LLC.
After starting his career in sales for personal lines, Dave Wallace founded his own insurance brokerage, The Wallace Group, in early 1999. After nearly six years of success, he merged with Owen-Dunn Insurance Services, and lead their employee benefits consulting team for nearly a decade. While at Owen-Dunn, Dave managed an overall book in excess of $100 million in premium across more than 100 groups across California.
Interested in expanding his knowledge base, Dave joined Tevis Insurance Services in November of 2013 where he continued to provide outstanding, insightful consulting services to his clients while providing expertise and training to junior consultants. After leaving Tevis, Dave elected to join the SolV team to refocus his efforts on helping his clients.
At SolV Insurance Services, Dave is focused on helping his clients achieve their benefit goals while effectively communicating changes and programs to employees. Dave is a Certified Benefits Wellness Advisor and Certified Benefits Risk Advisor with nearly 20 years of employee benefits experience.
Dave has been recognized as a participant in the Kaiser Permanente Leadership Roundtable, HealthNet Broker Advisory Council and has served on the Executive team of the American Heart Association, Sacramento Chapter.
Dave lives in the Sacramento area and enjoys giving back to the community, golfing, practicing yoga and spending time with his friends.
Chris has been involved in the insurance industry since 2006, learning the business from the ground up. After working successfully as an agent in several local brokerages, he realized his desire to form his own insurance agency. Surrounded by a motivated team, his company grew to a highly successful agency within two years.
In 2016, he merged with the Leavitt Group and became a partner, leading their employee benefits team. This department became one of the fastest growing employee benefit brokerages in the country for the Leavitt Group. Chris has become recognized as a national leader, top producer, keynote speaker and mentor.
Chris joined SolV Insurance Services bringing his enthusiasm, knowledge and an ongoing desire to provide unparalleled service to his clients. He is focused on helping his clients achieve their goals while effectively communicating employee benefits to the employees.
Chris, a devoted husband and father of two, lives with his family in Granite Bay. He has been a high school youth leader and mentor through his church for over 12 years. He shares his love of all sports with his family and friends.
Cerrina Jensen is a Broker Consultant with SolV Insurance Services, and the founder of a complimentary consultancy, Stellar Stories. A nationally recognized leader in the insurance industry, and a Past President of the Sacramento Association of Health Underwriters, Cerrina has been honored with many local, state and national awards for her leadership and consumer advocacy.
As a Broker Consultant, Cerrina helps her clients design and administer custom employee benefits packages that save money, time and headaches. Cerrina founded Stellar Stories in 2019, as an enhancement to her benefits practice, and consults with employers, business groups, and civic organizations to deliver leadership and management training, dynamic communications, and process management support.
Cerrina began her insurance career in 1995, with CalFarm Insurance and the California Farm Bureau’s member health plan. She transitioned to the Employee Benefits space in 2008, joining a masterful team which represented a number of large public sector fully and self-funded employers and JPA’s.
Prior to joining the SolV team, Cerrina was an AVP with CoreMark Insurance Services, where she played a key role in launching their marketing department. Cerrina also participated in the development of many of the agency’s best practices, upcoming trends, and sourcing client technology and compliance programs.
Cerrina was appointed to the California Department of Insurance Licensing Curriculum Board in 2018, and holds a number of certifications and professional designations including NAHU certificates in PPACA and Self-Funding. She was also named one of Employee Benefit Advisor’s Most Influential Women in Benefits Advising, 2017.
Cerrina grew up in the Bay Area and transplanted to the Sacramento Valley in 1994. Cerrina and her husband Aaron have two adult children and two adorable fur babies.
Janie Haywood began her career in insurance after earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University, Chico. Janie joined the brokerage firm Edgewood Partners Insurance Center as an Administrative Assistant and began to provide outstanding support to Account Management teams.
Janie was quickly promoted to Associate Account Manager where she was responsible for a variety of tasks maintaining client employee benefit programs with the public sector niche. In May 2014, Janie obtained her State license for Life, Disability and Health Insurance.
Janie continued to excel in servicing clients and employees while successfully coordinating employee communications, Open Enrollment meetings and Health Fairs.
After leaving Edgewood Partners Insurance Center, Janie continued to expand her employee benefits knowledge while working for a start-up technology platform. Here she learned a lot about benefits administration system capabilities like payroll and spending account administration, consolidated billing and eligibility processing. She also became well-versed in HRIS and payroll management systems while continuing to service large group clients directly like a true extension of the Human Resources team.
Janie joined SolV (formally Verus Insurance) as a Senior Account Manager. She applies her industry experience and knowledge to execute outstanding service and strategy for large group accounts.
Janie lives in Sacramento, California with her husband. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys yoga, shopping and traveling to the beach.
Brian Burger serves as executive counsel to the SolV leadership team.
He helps leaders bring valuable action to what matters most in their businesses by gaining clarity, breaking through barriers, designing, and achieving what’s next with great insight, joy, and confidence.
Certified as a Senior HR Professional, Executive Coach & Stages of Growth Advisor with over two decades of expertise serving in a wide range of organizations including Fortune 100’s Target & UPS, national non-profit K-LOVE & Air1 Radio, and numerous entrepreneurial start-ups helping one become recognized locally and another recognized nationally for their rapid growth.
Brian is known for his ability to help leaders break free from the confusion and tough business challenges that can promote doubt and hesitancy within themselves and their teams. Together, Brian and his clients create strategic solutions through proven tools and frameworks, bringing focused movement and game-changing results.
Brian is thrilled to serve alongside the SolV leadership team, being part of a shared vision to lay aside greed and put the interests of those we serve above our own. He also serves alongside his wife Heidi through the ministry Growing Hope, which advocates for, empowers, and supports families who foster/adopt children from hard places.
Brian loves laughing with friends over coffee, exploring the wine country with Heidi, Lake Tahoe, tabletop games, and family time. Brian and Heidi live in the Sacramento region and have three children.
Nathan Robertson serves as executive counsel to SolV leadership team.
He brings focus and clarity to the critical decisions required of business leaders. He is an active CPA with over 20 years of experience investing in people and improving businesses. Nathan’s ability to help company leadership understand their numbers and take valuable action has strengthened the organizations he serves.
Nathan’s career has been filled with investing in the development of people, processes and system that support healthy, growing organizations. Primarily focused on medium size companies that need all the expertise of a CFO without all the cost. As a dedicated lifelong learner, he is always looking for ways to grow and develop the businesses and people around him.
Nathan lives in Granite Bay, California with his wife Denise. They live a very active lifestyle that highly values family and friends.
Ashley was born in Woodland, California and received her B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Fresno in 2004. She began a career in financial services working for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance and later realized she wanted to get away from sales and focus on service, client retention and relationship building. With her heart to serve, she found her home in Employee Benefits as an Account Executive.
In 2006, Ashley became a licensed Life, Accident and Health Agent with California Department of Insurance and began working for her first brokerage firm in Woodland, CA. She later relocated to Roseville, CA and transitioned to a smaller agency who specialized in Employee Benefits. In 2017, Ashley and her broker partner joined the SolV team. The relationship with SolV was solidified as their core values and principles aligned. At SolV, Ashley continues to serve her clients with the same unparalleled level of service they are accustomed to. After more than 16 years of experience, her primary focus is ensuring her client’s service requirements are met through strategic plan management, compliance, and employee communications and education.
Ashley works from a satellite office in Clovis, CA where she resides with her husband Joe and their four children: Hazel, Joseph VI, Hattie, and Jack. She enjoys traveling, camping, being a moto/soccer/dance/gymnastic mom and serving on the Executive Board of her sorority’s Alumnae Association.
Eva was born in Lewiston, Idaho. The fourth child in a large family of 9 children. She began her career in health insurance in 1992 working for Foundation Health, a health insurance company, managing Union clients. Finding that she could make a real difference helping people navigate the health insurance world at a time when they need it most, she has never looked back.
Eva transitioned to the broker-consulting industry in 2002 by going to work for a large brokerage firm in Sacramento, California. After expanding her skills and learning account management services with other brokerage agencies in the Sacramento area, Eva found her true home with SolV Insurance Services in 2018.
SolV’ business model of being fully transparent with their clients, consultation with strong ethics and the team’s commitment to serve made her feel right at home. After more than 20 years of experience, Eva continues to keep up with the everchanging legislation surrounding benefits to help her clients stay compliant.
She enjoys spending time at home with her immediate family, camping and getting together with her large extended family and being the “cool” aunt to over 30 nephews and nieces. Eva lives in Idaho with her family.
Jimmy Bishop began his carrier in employee benefit insurance after seven years working in customer retention and loyalty for one of the nation’s largest telecommunications companies.
Jimmy joined the brokerage firm Edgewood Partners Insurance Center as an Account Representative to test his customer service experience and find growth in a new industry.
Jimmy was quickly promoted to Associate Account Manager after assisting clients with employee and employer level service issues. He was responsible for a variety of tasks including corporate communications, collateral and communication design and assisting to maintain client employee benefit programs. In September 2014, Jimmy earned his California license for Life, Disability and Health Insurance.
Jimmy joined SolV Insurance Services as an Associate Account Manager in May of 2016. He was responsible for assisting with the account management of small and large group insurance programs under direction of the Consultant and Account Executive. Jimmy has proven himself to be an invaluable part of the SolV family and is involved in many areas of the SolV services offered including customer service, marketing strategies and renewal analysis as well as contributing to strategic initiatives and communication campaigns.
In 2018, Jimmy was promoted to Account Manager and his responsibilities now include the complete management of his clients’ benefits programs. Jimmy excels at finding unique solutions to complex problems and provides outstanding support internally and externally.
Jimmy lives in Roseville, California with his wife Rebecca and her two daughters Madalynn and Makaya.
Cody Welch is a Consultant and the New Business Development Manager with SolV Independent Insurance Associates. He is responsible for the hiring and training of the NBD department while also working closely with the SolV consulting and management team to help bring in new business.
Prior to joining SolV in 2017, Cody managed a large team and a regional division for Auction.com. At SolV, Cody manages the NBD department and works hard to build relationships with area employers and assists in the ongoing strategy development for his clients.
Since joining SolV Cody has helped provide his clients with alternative cost containment ideas which have resulted in enhancements of benefits and significant savings. He has helped one client implement a Reference Based Pricing model which has resulted in a 54% decrease in their medical spend! He has a passion for creating healthcare consumerism and developing long term strategies that help save the employer and employees money on their healthcare.
Cody enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son’s youth sports, hiking and snowmobiling. He lives in Roseville, California with his wife Kristin and their two son’s Noah (11) and Jackson (3).
Shelby, the first non-principal employee at SolV Insurance Services, began her career with us as Account Coordinator. She worked hard with the founding partners to develop processes and procedures for the Benefits Advocacy Team. Time and time again, Shelby has proven herself to be resourceful and provides outstanding customer support to her clients.
Promoted in 2018 to Associate Account Manager, and again in 2019 to Account Manager, Shelby now manages her own book of midsize businesses, overseeing the day-to-day support and management of her clients. She continues to assist the Benefits Advocacy Team in their role with employees.
Shelby’s ability to bring a positive attitude and committed spirit help her excel. Shelby holds a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada Reno. She lives in the Sacramento area with her husband and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets.
Sara is an Account Manager at SolV who provides exceptional and personalized service to small and mid-market clients. Prior to joining SolV, Sara was a Client Success Manager at Adept Benefits and a member of the Adept Leadership Team.
Sara began her career in employee benefits after nearly 13 years of experience in Human Resources and as an Executive Assistant to Regional Leadership at Whole Foods Market. Since entering the insurance side of healthcare benefits, Sara has gained deep knowledge and experience with almost every aspect of benefits consulting.
What sets Sara apart is her unwavering work ethic, dedication to client service, and her compassion for clients and their health plan members. Once a problem is brought to her, it always gets resolved. Sara loves her clients and their employees like they are her own family and always goes above and beyond to help them in any way she can.
Sara lives in Issaquah, Washington with her husband and two children. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family.
Priscilla is the lead Account Coordinator for the SolV Benefits Advocacy Team. In her role, Priscilla has the incredibly important task of assisting the employees of SolV clients with the day-to-day challenges and bureaucracy of the employee benefits industry. With a true heart to serve, Priscilla wows employees with her dedication, attention to detail and tenacious problem solving skills.
Prior to joining the SolV family, Priscilla worked in personal lines, managing an office staff and overseeing hundreds of policy renewals a year. Wanting to expand her professional experience and grow as a capable account manager, Priscilla joined SolV in 2018.
Priscilla, who is fluent in 3 languages, is an avid traveler having been to five continents and over a dozen countries. She enjoys spending time with her family, and going to church. She lives in Orangevale, California with her husband, Joseph.
Kathy Bixby is an Account Manager who joined SolV Independent Insurance Associates in 2019. She has extensive experience in the insurance industry with a proven ability to cultivate lasting customer relationships in competitive benefits market. Kathy is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day support and management for her clients while building lasting personalized relationships.
Kathy began her insurance career at General Agency Rogers Benefit Group working first as an Account Manager then as an Outside Sales Representative.
Prior to joining the SolV team Kathy was the Large Groups Sales Representative with Ameritas, consulting with brokers on large group dental and vision coverage across Northern California. Previously, she also worked at Aetna for nine years in the small and mid-market group benefits divisions where she was awarded Top 5 National Sales Leader, two years in a row.
Kathy is a graduate from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a degree in Graphic Communications. She lives in Granite Bay with her husband and has three adult children and one grandson.
Nicole joined SolV in early 2019. Her current role is as Benefits Advocate, working on the SolV Benefits Advocacy Team. She works hard every day to assist employees and employers with the challenges they face navigating the employee benefits world and brings her prior experience with her to to help get the job done.
Nicole always brings her positive attitude and a smile to her work, as well has her experience in the past with VSP and Optum360.
A California transplant from Florida, Nicole lives in Rocklin with her amazing sons and her loving husband.
Danielle is an Account Representative with SolV who supports SolV’s account managers and consultants with administrative tasks. Prior to joining SolV, Danielle was a Client Success Associate at Adept Benefits.
Danielle brings an unmatched attentiveness and an eye for detail to the SolV team, skills which she honed after years of experience with healthcare administration and billing. She also has an aptitude for assisting patients through the process of understanding how their health insurance interacts with the care they are receiving. Before entering healthcare, Danielle worked in customer relations and quality assurance at Starbucks for several years.
Danielle lives in the Greater Seattle area, where she is an outdoor enthusiast who loves exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family. She also enjoys undertaking indoor or outdoor DIY projects in her spare time.

Penelope Coulter
Chief Paw-blic Officer
Penelope is the quickest rising star at SolV, having reached her position as CPO by the young age of 1 (7 in dog years). Penelope brings complete commitment to her role at SolV. She is prompt at attending all meetings, and by acting as primary security officer, and overseer of all dropped food items, her days are never dull.
Penelope’s primary role is as counselor and the lifter of all spirits throughout the SolV office. She reports directly to Shelby Coulter (when it suits her).
Penelope enjoys belly rubs, her purple alligator, and organic roasted turkey breast.

In Memory of Chrissy Salvage
Chrissy Salvage was a valuable member of our team prior to passing away in 2020. As a New Business Coordinator with over 20 years of experience in service management, Chrissy brought her customer-oriented perspective to helping connect national companies with the SolV team. Her dedication and work ethic were infectious and she will always be missed, and remains a legacy member of Team SolV.
Darren is a Business Development Analyst at SolV who assists with sales & marketing alignment and strategy, content creation, and SolV brand management. Prior to joining SolV, Darren was an Analytics & Strategy Advisor at Adept Benefits.
Darren is continually learning about how the pieces in our healthcare system fit together and he is passionate about employers and patients getting treated fairly by that system. His years of researching & writing – about healthcare, health insurance, employee benefits, and the important differences between sales and advice – have equipped him with the ability to dissect complex ideas and simplify them to a level that is relatable and actionable.
Darren serves as a Director of a D.C. non-profit that advocates for investor protection in the financial services industry, where he worked as a researcher for several years. He also leads a committee of healthcare professionals who advocate for transparency and direct fee compensation in the employee benefits industry.
Darren lives in Raleigh, NC and enjoys traveling, exploring the growing Raleigh area with his fiancée, and playing games with his friends.
Markus Estelle joined the insurance industry in 2019 as an account manager focused on large accounts and alternative funding arrangements. He quickly transitioned to business development, where his naturally friendly disposition and authentic concern for healthcare consumers help him successfully create strategic relationships and long-lasting partnerships with employers.
Upon joining the SolV team at the start of 2021, Markus quickly became an exceptional addition to the NBD Team, earning the Employee of the Year award his first year at SolV. Markus is a true asset to our team, where shedding light on a dark industry is crucial.
Prior to joining the insurance business, Markus worked in several other industries and has developed a strong work ethic and dynamic perspective. One of his favorite roles was as a server at The Olive Garden, which is well known for their training and development programs.
Born and raised in Northern California, Markus enjoys any and everything that is outdoors. In his down time, he loves to explore new adventures with his longtime girlfriend, Brittany, and learn new things and share his knowledge with anyone who will listen. Markus also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and looks forward to being a dedicated husband & father one day.
Brandon Hiester began his career with SolV Independent Insurance Associates as an Account Manager before transitioning to his current role as an Implementation Specialist. In this role he is responsible for onboarding new clients, as well as helping existing clients transition from fully insured medical plans to alternate funding solutions.
Prior to joining SolV in 2021, Brandon was the Director of Operations for Shasta Head Start where he oversaw human resources, IT, program services delivery, and special projects. While with Shasta Head Start, Brandon served on the senior leadership team where he was responsible for setting policy and streamlining processes, he developed corporate leadership and supervision training, and oversaw the operations of 19 individual locations.
Brandon was born in Kirkland, Washington and received his B.A. in economics from Seattle Pacific University and his M.B.A from California State University, Chico. He now resides in Caldwell, Idaho with his wife and three sons where he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and backpacking, and woodworking.
Monica is originally from San Jose, California and moved to the Sacramento area in 2004. She received a dental assistant certificate in 2017 and worked for several dentist in Sacramento before joining her career in the health insurance industry.
Prior to joining SolV in 2021, she brings her experience from Delta Dental, as a bilingual representative. As a Benefits Advocate now, she serves as a first line of support for all the employees enrolled in benefit plans. She works daily with employees and their family members to resolve complex and personal insurance issues. Monica thrives for success and is eager to continue to learn more in the insurance industry. She makes sure she gets her job done and employees are satisfied with her service.
During her free time, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, cooking, shopping, organizing her home, and being a toddler mom to a very active two-year-old, Leo, who will soon be a big brother.
MaryCarol is a Consultant with SolV. Prior to joining the Solv Team, she held a variety of roles within a NY-based insurance agency. Her most recent time was spent developing an in-depth understanding of the complexities of a self-funded health plan. Responsibilities also included effectively developing and executing annual strategic plans for large employers and providing guidance on plan design, budgeting analysis, health care reform and consolidated appropriations act along with other strategic initiatives.
In 2019, she joined Health Rosetta, a national peer group aiming to bring transparency to health plans and empower self-funded employers with the strategies to improve health plan offerings while lowering health plan costs. She enjoys educating clients on alternative strategies to manage their complex health plan risk and is dedicated to meeting the needs of her clients.
Her career began in 2007 at Liberty Mutual, in their home office located in Boston, MA supporting the employees of Liberty Mutual with their benefit needs and questions. Two years into her time there, she was promoted into a project management role within the Corporate Benefits Department where she was involved in the planning, vetting and implementation of new benefits options for their employees nation-wide.
MaryCarol grew up in New Hartford, NY where she resides today with her husband, dog and two children. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rochester and was a proud member and captain of the UR Swim Team. She enjoys spending time with her extended family and being outdoors, especially summertime at the lakes in the beautiful Adirondack State Park.
Stephanie joined the SolV team as an Account Manager in 2022 after 5 years of experience as a Client Services Manager at Zenith American Solutions, a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).
Stephanie values personal growth and work that can make a difference in peoples’ lives. She has found the world of employee benefits allows her to combine her analytical mind with providing service to clients and their employees with excellence and compassion. She enjoys helping people get the most out of their benefits and clarifying an industry that people are typically unfamiliar with.
Stephanie holds a B.A. in Psychology and Social Science from Portland State University. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband and young daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors exploring the Pacific Northwest, playing with her daughter, and volunteering at her church.
Jeremiah joined SolV as an Account Manager in 2022 after moving back to Visalia, CA area from Idaho. He specializes in major and national account management and will be putting that skillset to use at SolV.
Jeremiah brings a wealth of account management experience to his new role. He spent time working as an Account Manager at HUB International before joining Blue Cross of Idaho as an Account Specialist. At both firms, he had a particular focus on servicing school system accounts. Jeremiah specializes in providing superb day-to-day service and developing strong client relationships.
Jeremiah enjoys hiking and camping in his free time as well as occasionally dipping into a favorite pastime of his: photography. He also is a proud uncle who loves to spend time with his nephew and three nieces.
Brian joined the SolV team as an Executive Assistant in 2022. He brings a fresh perspective as a newcomer to the healthcare benefits industry.
Coming from working as a Youth Pastor, it was easy for Brian to get behind SolV’s mission of laying aside greed and serving others first and foremost. His ethos of “See a need, fill the need” has served him well personally and professionally, allowing him to realize gifts and abilities in others and himself.
Brian brings a skillset of multitasking, timeline management, and has talents in graphic design and video production. Brian will be instrumental in freeing up the President’s time so she can focus on further growing and scaling SolV.
Brian is an active, fun-loving guy who enjoys building and cultivating relationships in the Sacramento area he calls home. His chief motivators are his wife, two boys, and his relationship with God. He can’t get enough of the outdoors, and enjoys serving his community in his spare time.
